You know, as much as I get my knickers in a twist over people saying "flatmate" instead of "fellow-lodger", I still love this fic and find myself rereading it now and then.

I particularly love the too-large shirt. Don't ask me why, I just do!

"...perfectly captured a terribly endearing half-hectoring, half-hesitant Holmes."

WolfieSara, thank you! Of all Holmes's many facets, that's probably my favorite. I love the thought that Watson is the only one in the world who gets to see that kind of tremulous uncertainty. (well, and us :) )

Lovely! Sumptuous prose, very touching plot, and some nice flashes of humour - Watson's "deducing scene" was most entertaining and well-observed.

Favourite line? It seems an odd choice, but for me, the

'“No…” he said carefully. “And yes. In a way. Oh, come downstairs, Watson, do, before I…”'

perfectly captured a terribly endearing half-hectoring, half-hesitant Holmes.

I do look forward to reading more of your work. :-)

BRAVA! This is a truly lovely Christmas gift. Your writing style is lovely; Watson & Holmes voices spot on; and well, the plying of your craft is exquisite.

My favorite line: "I could not deny to myself that Holmes was the sun that set the rhythm of my days ..." *sighs*

Thanks for sharing. I hope to read much, MUCH more of your work. The very best compliments of the Season to you and yours.

Warm regards,
