Yay! A reference to my favorite Elina picture! This is what happens when mommy and daddy don’t lock the door-scarred for life.

The Victorian language in this one worked just especially well. I was chortling over “ditinct apexes.” Ha! And you used “sanguinary” in a sentence. :>

I really like how Watson is made to be such a good conversational foil for Holmes. He tosses everything right back. That’s great. I really hate it when Watson is written as some perpetually astounded dope.

The moustache lick was a great touch. I never would have thought of writing that detail in there but it added a lot.

You cracked me up with Lestrade’s ‘Ah. Yus.’ I heard shades of Monty Python policemen just for a second there.

ACD sorely neglected Lestrade’s comic possibilities – you brought them out nicely without being too mean to him. And what was that last remark about – ‘Yes and no’? I’m inclined to Twisted-sheets’ view, that Lestrade has a thing for at least one of da boys.
