I guess that doesn’t count as a proper review, though the sentiment may be honorable. I’ve been really caught up in your Longest Night series, mainly because you write a mean french accent. I’ve never tried to phoneticize (is that a word?) “hein” but the “ehn” is quite right. I keep mouthing it. In fact, onlookers must think I’m crazy. But the nicely dosed angst, the believable characters, the oh so vulnerable Watson- and I must say I’m also intrigued by vulnerable Holmes in some of your other stories. You do vulnerability exceptionally well. Anyway, it’s brilliant and the overall high quality is helping to keep my spirits up in what is turning into a very difficult time for me. So thank you.
