nlr alicia sez: ha! yeah, watson's quite the scamp here. it was fun to have them so tuned in to one another they nearly pass in the middle.

this is one of those things i shouldn't admit, but i was thinking about Wendy Darling's secret kiss and wondering if Holmes had one of those, too. so that's where that came from.

Clever, clever Watson using flattery to claim his smile! I really liked the musings on the smile and the look of skepticism and alarm that precede ardent demonstrations of affection. Those are lovely little details that show us Watson's degree ot attention and infatuation.

Holmes can certainly be a difficult boyfriend, can't he? We will patiently await the story in which he calls in his marker. :>

This makes me just disgustingly happy. As usual, your characterization is so good that I'm just waiting for zombie!ACD to come shambling up to you demanding its secret notes back. Just remember "Shoot the brain, kill the ghoul." and you should be okay.

nlr alicia sez:

AHAHAHA!! How AWESOME would that be?

:usurps zombie fantasy:

And then I'd be all, like, "Ash! Save me!"
And he'd be all, "Hey, old dude! The library called. You're overdue... in HELL!"
KABLAM!

and then a million tiny ACDs would swarm all over me and I would die.

sweet!

:D

Awwww... very sweet. And Watson even got some of the cleaning done! Yay Watson!

This is adorable. I can see Holmes trying to create stories in order to keep Watson interested. Silly Holmes -- Watson would be interested no matter what he was told. However, I can definitely see Watson waiting to pounce and kiss when Holmes smiled that smile.

And now I too have a huge smile on my face.

Oh, and so glad you liked my canon discussion -- MUSG is a great tale, isn't it?
