I think you have rendered me speechless.

I don't know how I missed this when you first started posting the links on Holmesslash, but I did. I'm sorry. Sorry for missing it, and for being late to the party.

You've been holding out on us... this story, even just the start is so beautiful in it's simplicity. I am just wowed, for lack of a better word.
And when I say 'holding out', I mean know that I see that you are an awesome talent, I expect more Fives responses from you.

I'm subscribing to the feed so I don't miss any more of this beautiful tale.

Thanks for sharing!

Grey_wonderer, thank you! I'm so glad you came by and I thank semyaza profusely for giving me a rec on her LJ. It's wonderful to have people stopping by from all over to check out the goods.

Anyone is welcome to link to me if you like what you see. I've gone out and asked to be linked on a couple of archives (thank you "However Improbable" and "Lyra's Links"!) but I'm glad if anyone would like to add me.

A most intriguing beginning, with a plausible and honorable Watson who grieves and regrets. Thank you for sharing what looks to be a most interesting and well-done tale. I'm looking forward to reading more, and to exploring the other fics here. (Semyaza on Livejournal mentioned this, and I'm so glad she did!)

That opening was amazing. You do a three-sixty brilliantly. I thought at first we were reading Holmes, so clever and calm, but Watson! Excellent writing.

So well written and as always you've got the reader in the palm of your hand with extensive detail and excellent characterisations. I've put your blog in my RSS feed so I can keep up with this work. Don't worry about the angst; its written beautifully!

Best...Bones...loving it...

I found this through a link from semyaza on her LJ. I just adore Holmes and Watson and so I hope you won't mind that I came over to read. I love your beginning on this and I hope to find time to read the other stories on your page here. I love this part above all else, (He understood. He never asked for more than I could give. But what must it have cost him to offer up the key to that deep and echoing well of love inside him? To give it to a man who would tuck it away saying, “I will use this later. There will be time.”) It speaks to such a deep loss and to Watson's feelings of guilt.

The idea that Watson might actually use that syringe of Holmes' is also very interesting. I do wonder what might be the result, death, madness, or delusion. I am looking forward to more of this. Is there a way to be notified of updates? I didn't see anything of that sort but I did bookmark your page so I can always just keep watch. I think I am really going to enjoy this.
Carry on,
GW
